I had an end piece of rainbow poplar which had an angled end so I thought about making it appear to be the outline of the province of Alberta. I gathered the emblems from the government site and used my map outline to create the design. From start to finish it took about 2 hours, which includes finishing the wood and sealing it with food safe cutting board wax.
