This was a commissioned project for a wedding shower gift for the bride. The wood is curly maple. The font is Angella White. The mountains were found using a Google search for a line drawing. The heart is actually two hearts with one being an offset and angled to give the desired effect. The pictures does not show the leather carrying handles added once the cutting board oil had soaked into the wood. The whole project, from initial concept, customer feedback on draft designs, wood preparation, engraving, and finishing, took 5 hours. (Custom designs often require multiple revisions so as to meet the client's vision of the final project.)
